For West Midtown Restaurant Week, Avize is offering a three-course prix fixe menu for $120 per person, showcasing Chef Karl Gorline’s modern interpretation of Alpine cuisine and seasonal ingredients. Begin with a choice of Castle Franco with chickpea, miso-truffle vinaigrette, masala chickpeas, Grana Padano, Castelvetrano olives and satsuma; Trout Carpaccio with Hami melon, radish, fig leaf oil and leche de tigre sorbet; or Mushroom & Potato Pierogi with charred onion broth, kombu chip and pumpkin seed oil. For the main course, choose Elysian Fields Lamb with brown lentil falafel, turnip, black bean jus and charred okra tzatziki; Alaskan Halibut with lady peas, whey beurre blanc, mirliton and Chinese mustard greens; or Schnitzel Milanese, featuring brined half chicken with gem Caesar, green goddess, broccoli and furikake. Finish with your choice of Persimmon Ice Cream, Melon Sorbet or Chai Panna Cotta, each accompanied by seasonal flavors and textures.
