Lucky Star

Lucky Star brings modern Taiwanese cuisine to West Midtown with inventive street food, cocktails, specialty coffee and house-made pastries.

Lucky Star, James Beard semifinalist for Best New Bar, brings the vibrant spirit of Taiwanese cuisine to West Midtown. Led by Michelin-starred Chef Jason Liang and award-winning Beverage Director Kirk Gibson, expect modern takes on street food classics — Duck Fat Scallion Pancakes, Soft Boiled Tea Eggs — alongside standouts like Sichuan Beef Dry Noodle and Lu Rou Fan. Pair it all with artisanal cocktails, specialty coffee, and house-made pastries from Patisserie Chef Ching Yao Wang, in a neon-lit, checkerboard-floored space that's both lively and laid-back.

Bike, walk, scoot, stroll.

On Sunday, November 8, Howell Mill Road closes to cars and opens to everyone — an afternoon of food, music and family-friendly fun from the Upper Westside Improvement District. A few weeks after the last Restaurant Week table is cleared, the same neighborhood is worth a second trip.

Westside Stride is presented by the Upper Westside Improvement District, Sunday, November 8, 2026 on Howell Mill Road. Route and programming to be announced.
