For West Midtown Restaurant Week, Miller Union is offering a four-course dinner showcasing Chef Steven Satterfield’s seasonal, locally driven cooking. Begin with a choice of Field Pea & Peanut Salad or a Mezze Platter, followed by Grilled Sweet Potato with pecan and benne seed chili crisp or Spaghetti Squash & Cornmeal Hush Puppies with fig jam and chèvre. Entrées include Saffron Risotto with shrimp and smoked trout, Grass-Fed Bistro Steak with potatoes and caramelized onion soubise, or Sweet Potato Farfalle with Gouda fondue, mushrooms and brown butter walnuts. Finish with Brilliant Melon Sorbet or a Peanut Butter Ice Cream Sandwich with a malted double-chocolate cookie and raspberry jam.

On Sunday, November 8, Howell Mill Road closes to cars and opens to everyone — an afternoon of food, music and family-friendly fun from the Upper Westside Improvement District. A few weeks after the last Restaurant Week table is cleared, the same neighborhood is worth a second trip.
